We have an appointment scheduled tomorrow morning with our angency to look at what other options they have for us. We will also be researching other agencies and programs that still service Kazakhstan.

I've seen your blog on the kaz baby blog site and am sorry to hear your agency is closing their kaz program after you have gotten so far and waited so long! I hope this is not too forward, but since you said you may consider other agencies, we used Children at Heart (CAH) and traveled 9 months after putting our initial application in the mail. We were home with our daughter in 11 mos. total. One of the families in our group, that traveled the same time, has started their second adoption with Children at Heart and has been told the time frames are about the same. CAH works only in Karaganda and we had a great experience with them. Since all your paperwork is complete, your travel time would likely be much less. We completed our adoption a little over a year ago. Our e-mail address is fmtorcisi@verizon.net if you have any questions and our blog is www.sister4andrew@blogspot.com that details our experience w/CAH and our trip (I haven't updated it in a while though). Best of Luck to you on which ever new path you choose!

Just wanted to say that we worked with Little Miracles and were very, very happy with them. I know a family that just handed in their dossier in December and has been told they will travel very soon like this spring. I would definately look into them.

After my own problems with agencies, I used my own co-ordinator in the States. He works in Petropavlovsk and has a very good well-established team there. It may be possible that they can take over your dossier in Petro from this point, I think you have nothing to lose by asking the questions. He is a marvellous man.

Good luck and best of wishes. I can't believe how difficult this journey has been for you guys. I pray that this time (whether it's Kaz or a diffrent program- we did Kaz for our first child, and we just brought home our son from Ethiopia) is quick and smooth for you guys. Best to you both!
