More Delays
We found out yesterday that our visas won't be ready until Thursday or Friday next week, which doesn't give us enough time to get to Pavlodar for court. Our in-country team is working on what we should do next. I've been working so hard on trying to stay tough, but broke down for a little yesterday. I've been mising D a lot and was really looking forward to seeing him middle of next week. There's been some strange court decisions and things happening in Kaz that have me worried as well. So glad that we are already in Svetlana's hands, but still nervous...Hopefully the delay in getting our visas will only delay our trip for about a week...hopefully.
In other news, the bedding we ordered came in yesterday from Pottery Barn and I am excited about it and confident that D will love it. We plan to paint the room this weekend and the furniture is stil set to be delivered on the 22nd of June.
Hoping for more news soon.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and is able to spend time with family and friends remembering all those that have sacrificed for us.

Hang in there, you will be back in Pavlador before you know it. I know exactly what you are going through having been in this situation just a year ago. It was 6 weeks before we had a court date.
Also, don't let what is happening in Taraz worry you. Having adopted from that area last year and knowing the situation that is currently happening it is very specific to tht Zhambyl region, Taraz in particular, and does not seem to be the norm for the rest of the Kaz Regions.

So sorry about your disappointing delay :( I'll be sending good thoughts your way. You're doing a good job keeping busy and that will help pass the time. Perhaps some more shopping will help! LOL.
Which bedding did you get at PB? I'm looking for something new for Nicholas. I hope you will post pictures of D's room after you have painted it. This time is so bittersweet, I know how you miss him, but it's an exciting time too. Definitely take the time to go out as a couple. Don't forget to read and do the best you can to prepare yourself for his arrival. Although he will come home to a wonderful family, his whole world will be turned upside down. He will be like an alien landing on a new planet. Nothing can totally prepare you, months later, you will look back and wonder at how much everything changes and wonder about how you handle things. It is a learning process....
