Luggage

Our luggage has made it!!! Apparently it did miraculously show up
last night in Pavlodar so we were able to pick it up on the way to the
orphanage. After our visit with little man we were able to go through
everything and unpack. Nothing missing! A few squished gifts, but
minimal damage. We were amazed!

Had a fun time with D today. We worked on the Spiderman puzzle and a
few art projects. His current fave is to sharpen the colored pencils
and then glue the sharpenings to his color book pages. I think it's
pretty impressive; it takes true talent to turn trash into art.
Apparently he had a little puddle jumping fun before we got there and
his shoes/socks/tights were soaked. And yes, I said tights. We took
them off and just let him wear his shorts and it was the first time to
see his legs!!! He has had tights on everyday. He's going to be
amazed to live in TX and not have to wear tights under all clothes!
Definitely no need for multiple layers there, for 10 months of the
year anyway!

Good day all-in-all and we were able to successfully work
simultaneously from our apartment!!! Talk about working remotely!

Whohoo! Praying that court goes as smoothly as possible for you guys, and that D is 'official' soon!

Have been following along your journey to your son. Will be hoping all goes well in court. I agree, is such an amazing experience that goes beyond words!
Good luck on Monday!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have been reading it since about January. I am very exciting for you to bring D home soon. Your story of adopting an older child has been very inspiring. I think I have cried more than once while reading it. I think my husband is sick of me saying, "Hey, you know that couple who is in Kaz right now? Well guess what?" Best of luck with bringing your son home.
